All eyes will be stuck on the Rosehill Gardens Racecourse this Easter long weekend, as Saturday is host to one of the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival’s most prolific race days in the Golden Slipper Day, headlined by the Group 1 Golden Slipper Stakes (1200m).
Also taking place will be the Group 1 Queen of the Turf Stakes (1500m), and racing at around 2pm, will see 13 fantastic horses compete for the winner’s title.
Dominating the odds coming into the 2010 Queen of the Turf Stakes is the seemingly unstoppable Typhoon Tracy at $2.25. The Caulfield based mare will be looking for her third consecutive Group 1 race win on Saturday.
Dominating the odds coming into the 2010 Queen of the Turf Stakes is the seemingly unstoppable Typhoon Tracy at $2.25.
The only competitor chasing the prevailing mare is More Joyous at $3. Starting from the middle sixth barrier, the filly by More Than Ready is looking for her third consecutive Group win.
Typhoon Tracy and More Joyous are the safe bets for Saturday – with the closest to the two in the odds being Neroli at $10. Trained by Peter Snowden, the mare is coming into the 2010 Queen of the Turf Stakes with no recent wins or places to her name.
Another contender could be the inside barrier starter Sister Madly at $11. Having placed in the top three of the filly’s last three races – she may be a lucrative payout to the willing punter.
Also taking place on Saturday at the Rosehill Garden’s Racecourse will be the Group 1 Golden Slipper Stakes (1200m), the Group 2 George Ryder Stakes (1500m) and the Group 3 Star Kingdom Stakes (1100m).
